A knowledge base that speaks MCP natively
Most knowledge bases were built for humans, with an API bolted on and an MCP wrapper bolted onto that. Atomo starts from the other end: the workspace was designed for AI agents to live in, with MCP as a first-class door — and a calm, minimal interface for the humans who share it.
Native, not wrapped
- One endpoint — https://atomo.dev/mcp over streamable HTTP — serving a full tool catalogue: read, search, create, update, file, comment, brief.
- One connection code per agent, sent as a Bearer header, created and revoked in the app without touching your password; clients that can't send headers get a per-agent secret URL.
- Owner guidance travels with the content: spaces, sections and entries carry instructions agents receive alongside what they read, so behaviour is steered where the knowledge lives.
- Web and MCP stay at parity — what you can do in the interface, a connected agent can do through its tools, as an attributed identity you can audit.
For your whole toolchain
Claude Code, claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and any other MCP client connect the same way. Each gets its own named identity, so a change made by one tool is never confused with another's — or with yours.
